Creative Development with Image + Sound
The people we work with are passionate about the work they do. They know how they want to make an impact in their markets and/or communities and they generally know the objectives they hope to achieve through a production project. What they are not so sure about is how to tell their stories and how to share them.
We don’t simply show up with a camera, stand back and expect you to come up with the story. We collaborate with you and help to tell and share your story in a way you will be pleased with and proud of.
How do we do this?
Discovery
We research your existing brand and spend time with you to really listen to what you have to say. We ask:
- What are your goals?
- What are the reasons this matters to the people you want to engage?
- Why do you do this work and what makes you passionate about it?
When we ask about passion, we discover the most interesting component- that emotional pull - around which to build your story. Your passion is what gets to the heart of the matter, it’s why you have dedicated your life to doing the things that you do. When others can sense your passion, they will be drawn to you and want to be part of what you are doing.
Strategy
We don’t make videos just to make videos, which is why our creative development process is so important. We work to create an emotional pull with your audience, to move them to engage with you and your work. We tell the stories of our clients from a human perspective –the aspects of your story that most universally create an emotional pull – but that also connect with what is unique about you. The end result is a graceful alliance between how you dare to be different - that part of your work that connects with your passions – and that universal emotional pull that helps you share your story with the world.
Treatment and/or storyboarding
A treatment is a simple prose explanation of what the story of any video project is. It’s a summary of our understanding of what you want to see in the video. A storyboard is a sequence of drawings – or even a sequence of photographs – that provides a pre-visualization of the video project. Once this is created, we share this with our clients, gather feedback, and make changes to the plan based on what we learn. This ensures we make informed decisions early on that will result in the outcome you want.
A story that reflects who you are and how you want to be seen in the world
Our clients are good at doing the things they have been successful doing – at the work they are passionate about. We are visual storytellers. This is what we are good at. We make sure the story expressed in your production accurately reflects who you are and how you want to be perceived in the world, and moves people to want to engage with you and your work.
