We strive to develop trusting relationships with all the people with whom we work. This is critical to helping our clients tell their stories authentically and in new and exiting ways. It enables us to bring our best to each of our projects. Creativity is inhibited when people don’t feel respected and safe.
Strong relationships are more important than money
After a day of working hard, I remember my grandfather saying: “This kind of dirt washes off.” The thing is, often the kind of dirt people get on them in life doesn’t really wash off. We all face moments when we have to choose between doing what we know is right and doing what is self-serving.
Everyone of us has seen situations where people were upsold something they didn’t need, or when what was promised wasn’t delivered. At Image + Sound, it’s important to us to be sure we leave our clients better off than they were when they first contacted us. In the long run, selling someone a product they really don’t need isn’t good business. We’d prefer to build trusting, long-term relationships with the people who choose to work with us.
Respecting the integrity of the work
To us, integrity is also about meeting the needs of our clients in ways that are consistent with how they want to be known. Our job is to figure out who our clients are, to understand how they see themselves, and to work to tell their stories in ways that demonstrate what differentiates them in their markets.
Whether the client is an artist or an entrepreneur, part of the reason we exist is to give the power back to the clients – to make it possible for them to be creative within their budgets and for the final products to be expressions of their visions.
Bringing our best to each project
We owe it to our clients to bring our best selves to every project we work on. We will be honest and will turn down work before we take on something we won’t fully invest in. Our work is not all about the money.
We believe that when you do more than just coast on autopilot, and when you commit to doing more than the minimum to get by, you bring an important kind of energy to a project.
